Terms of Use
These terms apply to the 3 Things a Day app and to this website. By using either, you agree to them. This English text is the authoritative version. Last updated: .
Who you are dealing with
3 Things a Day is provided by CWTI Ltd, 24 Tax Suite 137b, Westlink House, 981 Great West Road, Brentford, TW8 9DN, United Kingdom. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean CWTI Ltd, and “the app” means 3 Things a Day.
You can reach us at privacy@ivanmorgillo.com or through the support form, which is also linked from the Me tab in the app.
What the app does
The app helps you choose up to three tasks a day and finish them. It keeps a record of the days you complete, sends reminders if you turn them on, and can sync your tasks across your devices when you have an account.
Some features are part of a paid subscription, called Pro. What is included in Pro can change as the app develops; the app and the store listing describe what is included at the time you subscribe.
Using the app without an account
You can start using the app without creating an account. Your tasks are saved to an anonymous account on our servers so they survive closing the app.
An anonymous account is tied to that installation. If you delete the app, change device, or clear its data without first creating a full account, that anonymous account and the tasks in it can be lost and we cannot recover them. Create an account to keep your data across devices.
Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these on your own, you need your parent or guardian’s permission.
Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using it.
You can delete your account from inside the app, in the Me tab. Deleting it removes your tasks and the record of your days from our systems. It does not cancel a subscription — see below.
Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
We do not take your payment. Pro is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you installed the app, and your contract for the payment itself is with them. Their terms and refund policies apply to the transaction.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. The price and period are shown before you buy.
- Free trials. Where a trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before then. The app will tell you the date, and can remind you before it happens.
- Cancelling. Cancel in your Apple or Google account settings, not in the app — we cannot cancel it for you. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. If you are in the UK or EU, your statutory rights still apply and nothing here removes them.
If a subscription lapses, your data stays where it is; the features that need Pro simply stop being available.
Your content is yours
The tasks, notes and reflections you write stay yours. We do not claim ownership of them and we do not sell them.
You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, sync it to your own devices, and back it up. The Privacy Policy describes what we collect and why.
Fair use
Please do not use the app to break the law, to store content you have no right to, or to attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service. If you do, we may suspend or close the account.
Changes, interruptions and ending the service
We improve the app continuously, so features change and occasionally go away. We may need to interrupt the service for maintenance, and things outside our control can interrupt it too.
If we ever discontinue the app or a paid feature, we will give reasonable notice and, where you have paid for a period you will not receive, a pro-rata refund through the store you bought it from.
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting your account and removing the app.
What we do and do not promise
We work to keep the app reliable, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it is provided as it is.
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The app is a place to plan your day, not a system of record.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for the app through the App Store or Google Play in the twelve months before the claim.
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms cannot take away, and this section does not try to.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app changes or the law requires. The date at the top shows the last update. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your own country and can bring a claim in your local courts.
