Frequently Asked Questions

How the day rolls over, where your tasks go, how streaks and the Planner work, and everything else worth knowing.

The day & your tasks

Is there a midnight reset? What happens at the end of the day?
There's no destructive overnight reset. Today is a live view of what matters for the current date: completed tasks move into your history (the Past tab), and by default unfinished tasks carry over and keep showing on Today until you finish them — so nothing is lost. When you want a clean slate, you tap Start a new day yourself.
What happens to tasks I don't finish?
By default Carry over incomplete tasks is on, so unfinished tasks roll over and stay on your Today list until you complete them. Want a clean slate? Tap Start a new day to move them to the Backlog. You can also switch Carry over incomplete tasks off in the Me tab — that simply stops unfinished tasks from reappearing on Today (it doesn't send them to the Backlog). Either way, nothing is ever deleted.
What is "Start a new day"?
It's a manual action — nothing runs automatically. It appears once you've completed all 3 tasks, and in the overflow (⋯) menu. It files your completed tasks into Past and sends any unfinished ones to the Backlog, giving you a clean Today. Tasks you've already planned for today or later are left untouched.
Will my streak break if I don't finish all three things?
Yes. A streak day requires completing all 3 tasks before midnight. Finishing 2 out of 3 does not count. This is intentional — the 3-things contract is all-or-nothing.

The Planner & Backlog (Pro)

What is the Future tab / Planner?
The Future tab is your forward planner and the home of the Backlog — it's a Pro feature. You can schedule up to 3 tasks for upcoming days. When a day you planned arrives, those tasks appear on your Today list automatically.
What happens to tasks I planned ahead?
When their day arrives, they show up on Today exactly as you planned them. A manual Start a new day never disturbs tasks you've scheduled for today or later — they're protected.
What is the Backlog, and how do I move a task out of it?
The Backlog is a list of tasks without a set date — things you'll get to eventually. Unfinished tasks land here when you tap Start a new day, and you can add tasks here directly. To act on one, tap it and assign it to Today or an upcoming day. There's no drag-and-drop — it's a quick tap to assign.

Streaks & reminders

How does the streak work?
You earn a streak day by completing all 3 tasks before midnight. Miss one and the streak resets. Your current streak is free for everyone and shows on Today. Deeper history — your longest streak, monthly and yearly totals and the completion heatmap — lives in the Past tab and is part of Pro.
What is Save the Streak?
Save the Streak is an optional set of reminders. With reminders enabled, the app sends a daily reminder at your chosen time. If a day is slipping, it can send an evening nudge around 7:00 PM when you have 1–2 tasks left, and a streak-at-risk alert around 9:30 PM if you still have unfinished tasks and an active streak.
Why didn't I get a streak reminder?
You won't get a reminder if reminders are turned off, all 3 tasks are already done (the evening nudge), you have no active streak to protect (the streak-at-risk alert), or it's already past the reminder time for the day.

Subscription & support

What is included in the Pro subscription?
Pro unlocks the Future tab (Planner + Backlog), the Journal (daily reflections), and the full Past tab — your longest streak, monthly and yearly history and the completion heatmap. The core habit — your 3 things a day and your current streak — is always free, forever.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Sign in with the same account you used when you subscribed, then open the Me tab and tap Restore purchases. Your Pro access will be restored.
Where can I get help or send feedback?
Use the support form to report bugs, ask questions, or suggest improvements. You can also reach it from the Me tab inside the app.
